Is it safe to have a case even if you have a skin on?

Hey, i recently purchased from Skinomi carbon white skin which is very great, but i just wanted to know if i should get a case just in case to be safe. Does it really matter?

    It depends on your case

I have a shield for mine at the back, it fits in my TPU perfect, doesn't cause any peeling off. But the design inside the case caused some 'dots'. Purely due to the TPU's design (Argyle)

I have BestSkinsEver on the back with a silicone case. I love it. No chrome is exposed, perfect coverage. The touch I had before the replacement, I only had a case on it, and after a week and a half the back had little scratches scattered all over, and it was only taken out of the case once! That's all it takes. I had to cover it.
