Hi, I was wondering... Is it really even worth the trouble to jailbreak 1.1.2? I know they added the add events thing to the calendar and maybe tweaked it a bit but is it really worth it?

alrite sounds good. Also, i'm getting it for christmas just like everyone else... but would it hurt to jailbreak it (while connected to a computer) while it charges for the first time?

It does come fully charged, but no it wouldn't hurt it.

Why not jailbreak, it gives an almost infinite jump in value and use, for 10 minutes or so of work.

well mine personally had to charge for a while before i could even start it up, but apparantly it comes 7/8th charged, i went to jailbreaking right wen i got it booted up, and i was still charging.

so basically its fine to jailbreak while plugged in.

The only thing 1.1.1 has that 1.1.2 doesn't have is the ability to change the skin on your keyboard...So if you don't care about that...I'd upgrade to 1.1.2.

I'm still on the fence myself.

Tryin' to think of what I actually want if I jailbroke.

Mail?? Naaah.......I just use Gmail anyway.

Games?? Might be novel at first, but I'd probably delete 'em shortly.

What else is there that makes jailbreakin' a must-do???

    TIA

    Jailbreak

If you are running 1.1.2 you will not need to Jailbreak it for cal adds. That's part of the firmware upgrade. You can make a simple notes thingy in your Contacts (just make that one of your contacts). If you use webmail (gmail etc) then there is no need for the email client. To me more apps is really just clutter. But Bluetooth--that would have been nice.

Are you kidding me? Do some research, jailbreaking offers so much more than what the touch is...once you go "broke" you never turn back
