    hi.
i have a 8gb touch (1st gen) as i am now running out of memory i am thinking about getting a 16gb one,if i do,when i get the new one is it just a simple case of plugging the new one into my laptop, opening itunes and syncing my new 16gb touch and everything that is currently on my 8gb will be transferred onto my new one ?..
    thanks in anticipation..

Ya it pretty much is that simple. Just as long as all the music is in your iTunes, you'll be fine. The same goes for your apps too.

You might wanna go overnight just because if you have a crap load of video it's gonna take forever.

    1 final question.
IF i was to buy a new 2G ipod instead of a 1G would the exact same rules apply for transferring the music..
like the better features of the 2G,especially the speaker function, just cant make my mind up at the moment ?

Between me and my little brother, the sync times are very similar. He has a 1g and I have a 2g.
