i have a 2nd gen ipod touch (iOS4 JB) with multitasking enabled, is it possible to remove the mutlitasking by jailbreaking again and unticking the multitasking option. p.s without restoring the firmware.

    Nope.

You will need to restore the firmware.

I am pretty sure you can just rejailbreak with redsn0w and untick the multitasking option and also if it has an option for Cydia untick that since you already have Cydia installed.

Apparently the above solution doesn't work. You'll have to eıther manually edit plists (I don't know how) or restore and re-jailbreak.

There's also a package on Cydia, not sure which source though.

The plist you have to edit is N82AP.plist in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

Edit that, delete the multitasking key, reboot and you're done

Or you could just type <false> instead of <true>.
