is it possible, if i havent activated my iphone after i restored it, to change the firmware to 3.0 without activating it?

i've done the redsn0w with the 3.0 IPSW, and it gets stuck on "waiting for reboot"

im not going to activate it because i dont want to pay, so give me ideas?

    its the first gen. ipod.

If you see it hang at “waiting for reboot”, just unplug and replug that USB cable.
