Hi, the topic title basically asks the main question.
Has there been a workaround for the new 32 and 64 gigs versions yet ?
I am talking about the MC versions with new 359 iBoots.
Thx in advance for any responses.

Yes it's possible, it's been possible for awhile now. Just use blackra1n (www.blackra1n.com) Although it is a tethered jailbreak, meaning, if you turn it off, then you will need to run blackra1n again to turn it on.

I guess I should have mentioned that I tried about every method to jailbreak it, and I always get stuck on the "running" screen with blackra1n.
Yes I have it in my root folder, yes I run as admin, yes I run in compatibility mode, yes I tried all sorts of tricks icluding holding the home button.

I have JUST bought the touch last week, it has the newest iBoot version as I am understanding, therefore I was asking if it is jailbreakable yet.

From what I understand, only the iPod Touch 3G 8gb and iPhones 3GS have the new bootrom, but either way, those can be jailbroken with blackra1n. What screen do you get to?

I restore my IPT with the "SHift click" method.
Then run blackrain. Device goes to recovery mode just fine, then blackrain says it is "running" and then the whole things hangs.
The only way to get out of the hang, is to soft reset the Ipod.

What do you see on your ipod? Black screen? Connect to iTunes screen?

For me it worked flawlessly on my new iBoot 3GS

. It boots wonderfully. I find it kinda wierd because when you boot it it automatically goes in recovery, while the 2G tethered just stayed black. The first time I jailbroke it I thought I had an old model

.(yeah what a dumb idea, old model with 3.1.2 pre-installed..)

when it says "running" it just stays in the iTunes screen on the Ipod.
Which is recovery from what I understand.

@Freemini - what version of iBoot do you actually have ?
(i see that you have the 16gb version, that is not the new 3g version, only the 32 and 64 gb's are the very new ones as far as I heard)

    Mine says 359.5.

    Still stuck in "running" screen.

Try closing blackra1n, running it again and press 'make it ra1n' again

Just did it, ipod hangs in the iTunes screen with the USB cable and blackra1n says "Waiting for Device"...
