Like the title says, is it possible to use Pacifist or some other tool to extract and install iLife 08 from a Leopard install DVD? I have one laying around my house (from a friend...sucks for him) that I'd like to use to install iLife on my hackintosh.
I'm sure I could find where the package is on the DVD and install it, right?

If it's a Leopard restore DVD that came with a Mac, you can do it. But if it's just a regular Leopard DVD, it doesn't have iLife 08.

You won't need Pacifist to install iLife.

Ok, I'm not sure which one it is right now, but you're saying I could pop in a Leopard restore disk and choose to install iLife 08 from the installer?

For my iMac, it came with two discs for Tiger. The second disc contained iLife + iWork and other packages.

First you have to reveal hidden files and it should be there.

You may have to do Right Click + Show Package Contents.

Yup, I just searched into the deep depths of google and found out how to install it. Thanks for the answer.
