is it possible to boot tethered itouch 2g with usb cable + flashdisk ?

    is it possible to boot tethered itouch 2g with usb cable + flashdisk ?
    i mean..using the usb cable for itouch...plug the usb cable to your ipod and the other side we stick it with flashdisk ( inside flashdisk is iboot for tethered 2g with autorun.inf , so when we stick the flashdisk...it will autorun run the boot process ) =D

    no, I do not believe so. the flashdisk wouldn't run, since the iPod doesn't operate as a USB Host.

    You could possibly remove the microcontroller from the USB drive (assuming there's one in there) and reprogram it to send the 8 bit's needed.

    It won't work on 2.2.1 Firmware yet... (there's a way but MuscleNerd hasn't told us

    It is certainly possible. But it is much more difficult than needed. You are better off just getting a hold of a premade microcontroller first.

    Here is just a slight thought. What if we stored the autorun.inf in the ipod somewheare that is accesed at startup and have the power button start the auto run. i know it is a streatch but hey

    i had this idea before but i dont know how the autorun would even start up..
