is it possible to add a movie (5 minutes long) to my iPod via SSH?

    is it possible to drag and drop a file to my iPod via winSCP? what about music?

    You can, but you won't be able to play them in your Music/Videos app.

    Use MPlayer to play other formats besides to normal m4v, mp4, and mov formats. I use it to play all the AVI files on it.

    I use dTunes to play files that can be transferred over via SSH. It can play music and movies and it scans your downloads folder for those files.

    how do I get/put files into dtunes/mplayer? I thought dtunes was ******* only

    When using MPlayer, u can go through any directory and look for files to play, kind of like how iFile does it.

    to put files into dtunes thru SSH, here is the directory:

    var/mobile/library/downloads

    just drag and the drop the files their and you should be able to view/play them with the dtunes app
