So I was looking through my old laptop and found the good old 1.1.3 (the one Apple ripped me off $20 for) firmware. So I know this question might be weird, but is it possible to downgrade my 1st gen touch back to 1.1.3 without getting errors?

Why don't you try and let us know. I would assume not but you never know. Plus don't know if older version of installer is still available and even maintained.

No it won't work. Apple does not sign that older firmware anymore. PLus you need to downgrade iTunes in other to install that deal.

It should work perfectly considering it's a first gen device, you may have to downgrade iTunes first though
