    Hi everyone,
I just upgraded to 3.1.2 and jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G weeks ago.
From then I found the "app closing effect"(effect that app shrinks to close after pushing home button) seldom appears than before, and home screen just shows up about 1s after pushing home button.
I'v jailbroke it while I'm still in OS 2.x, but my Touch was fine then.
I just want to know if anyone using 2G experience same problem?
Or it's jailbreaking that make my Touch that slow(I didn't get a lot of app from cydia)?

    thanks

Well it might be the jailbreaking.
Install trhough cydia SBSettings and check out the active Process and kill the ones you dont need. You can also "Free Memory" in there.

Great Point. This Was Extremely Helpful When My iPod 3g Was Locking Up After My Jailbreak With Blackra1n. Definitely Download This From Cydia.

Limit the amount of Background daemons that you have running, these usually eat RAM for candy. Also, look at the amount of free RAM that you have, if you have over 30mb free and you iPod is still very slow, then something is probably wrong.

    finally

I uninstalled winterboard and it seems wonderful now!!!
There are many who likes to customize there iPodTouch including me, but I enjoy the original style of it now.

Winterboard hooks are a real resource hog. I'm jailbroken but won't ever use Winterboard as apps take an age to load.
