Hey Guys, I lost the USB cable that came with my ipod touch so picked up the USB that i had for my 2nd Gen iPod Nano. its slightly thicker and longer then the ones that apple make now so I just wondered whether it would still be ok to use this.

ive plugged it in and its charging but i dont want to do any damage to the connector.

also... im charging from an internet cafe PC, can any viruses or malware be sent to my ipod?

    thanks!

I use the cable that came with my wife's iPod Classic and it works fine.

Yeah, they're bot 30-pin dock connectors so they will work.

firewire works with everything before iphone 3G and touch 2G, just not those, and probably not future products
