will the apps still work or ibrick?
Jailbroken iPod + update = Bricked
Don't go there!
There is no update yet, so nobody knows. Anything you read is speculation until it actually happens.
The update is iTunes, not the iPod..
oh my bad when will the update be available?
How many threads are going to be made about this... Come on Already, this is cluster F**king the boards.
I don't care about the update until its here. If your worried about it turn itunes to not sync when you connect your Ipod, that way you can still charge it but not update if your scared it'll auto-update. Anyways, if the update was out you would read it in a sticky (hopefully something like UPDATE OUT, DO NOT UPDATE!!).
I'm sorry, but i've read enough of this on all 21+ boards. (How many are here?)
If people were to wait until the update get released to update their jail broke Touch then, the community might have a lot of black paperweights to deal with. If people go out and buy a piece of equipment for $300-$400, they might be a little worried about the safety of their investment. Just relax, people will always do this (post a billion threads about the same damn thing) until the end of time.

An update WILL NOT brick your ipod!!!!!!!!! It will remove 3rd party apps and add more security so it is harder to jaibreak again. THE ONLY time an update may brick an apple product is updating your sim unlock iPhone(iPhones with JUST 3rd party apps that are not unlocked were not bricked)
The unlocked iphones that were "bricked" from the last update were NOT really bricked. The phones were recoverable.

iTunes 7.5 features the ability to activate iPhone wherever service is offered and support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). This release also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.
