I have an iPod Touch running on 4.0 and i was wondering if it's okay for me to charge my iPod when I'm outside or doing something. I will usually charge my iPod for about 4-6 hours everyday maybe more and is it really safe for me to do that?

Its ok but it will make the Lithium-ion in the battery weaker over time.

Let it run nearly if not completely out and give it a complete charge. Spose to be good for it the life.

I think that due to the way a Lithium Ion battery works - it only loses its capacity through usage, not through overcharging, and anyway the ipod has a cut off inside to stop it from overcharging.
Letting it run down fully and then recharge is good for making sure that the ipod shows the correct battery percentage left etc.

Excellent battery guide. I discovered it shortly after joining M-t F, and I'm glad that I did. My thoughts on battery life and preservation were mostly wrong. I have given this guide out to a lot of people. Thanks for the great guide studangerous.

Stick to Stu's guide. It still is completely relevant to the batteries in devices.
