Is It Likely I Will EVER Need to Replace My Battery?

    Topic Title.
    I mean, the batter costs 85$ to replace... thats a lot of money for a battery... will it go out anytime soon?

    It will wear out; they all do. LiIon batteries are pretty robust though. Ideally it should last you 2-3 years with regular use. Just make sure you keep it charged and relatively protected from extreme environments (keep it out of conditions that are too hot or too cold); LiIon batteries perform best when they are kept fully juiced and operating under moderate temperatures.

    You'll probably buy a new iPod before it comes to the point where the battery life is unbearable to use
