... or does the iPhone not support bluetooth music streaming?

I tried with both a normal mono bluetooth headset and a A2DP Stereo headset that already works with my iPod touch 2G.

I connect, everything works fine, but when i play music, it keeps blasting out of the iPhone speaker...

uhhh is the iPhone now crippled in comparison of my iPod touch? Wasn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Please Confirm or Deny. I have a iPhone 2G (Edge, First Generation, OS Version 3.1).

If this has already been answered, please direct me to that thread because i could not find it.

I believe that the original iPhone does not allow for A2DP. I can not use peer-to-peer on my original iPhone but have no issues on my 3G. Both are running 3.1.2. Can somebody confirm this? I think they have the same bluetooth chip...

EDIT: Tried to use bluchat on both my iPhones...iPhone 2G had an error message saying this application was "not supported on this iPhone" whereas my 3G had no problem whatsoever.

My A2DP headphones work for everything except music streaming.
