I got my iPod touch 2gen a week ago.. everything worked fine. This morning it said I had 20% battery life left, so I plugged it in to charge for a couple hours and when I came back it wouldn't turn on. I tried connecting it to iTunes but iTunes couldn't find it and My Computer doesn't see it either..

I tried the obvious holding down the sleep button for 10 seconds.. went back and forth with that for a while.. still nothing.

As a side note, it isn't off exactly ... it's still lit.. kind of. the screen has a blueish black glow, when I look at it from the side it looks blue.

Any ideas?? If not i'm sure I can still exchange it.. but I finally got all my apps and everything downloaded and organized..

I'd probably let it die by itself and go from there.

Try holding the home and the sleep button for 15 seconds. It should reset, if not, it's dead.
