    You got it. Steve Jobs thought it should reach out to women, therefore named it after a womanly product.

    The "pa" makes it sound more friendly. The o in iPod sounds to techy, but 'Pad' reaches out to the average person. That's all a matter of opinion though.

    The whole feminine hygiene thing is such a sh*t joke. ¬_¬

    Maybe...... they called it iPad, because it's like a notePAD, jotting PAD, writing PAD.. blah blah

    And really... you guys need to look up the definition of pad and tampon..... they are totally different things..... and yeah..... it's getting old!
