Heck, I doubt there will be virtually any problems like that on the G4. Go nuts and enjoy getting something before lots of other people

If you want to get the 8GB, I would wait. We don't know if it has lower-grade hardware than the others. That means it will become obsolete faster.

I confirmed with a rep that the 8GB has an A4 CPU; however, that only leaves the RAM to be questioned.

Just wait a few weeks after it hits stores and wait for reviews if you are worried

I wouldn't buy the 8GB because it's "only" 70$ less expensive then the 32GB. And 32GB is 4x8GB. That means that it's software lacking :/ Again

Yeah, i'm sure on the day its released this place will be filled with praises/complaints. Check in the morning, and if everything is A-okay, go pick one up.

hey umm, at the specs page at http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html , it says
"Frequency response: 20Hz to 20,000Hz" does that mean it only outputs that range, or is it refering to the headphones it comes with? cause my headphones go to 6hz

the 3rd gen touch had an accessibility mode that make the text white and the background black so maybe something like that, the 8gb MC didn't since it was still a 2nd gen touch. So it might be something like that.
