Is iPhone OS 3.0 going to be the death knell for Jailbreaking?
:| Can you please stop with these threads please?
even if apple allows themes, copy paste and mutitasking, they will never allow full access to the directories. so jailbreaking will always be there!
They could make it very very difficult if they are introducing a whole new OS with 3.0.
The exploits that allow us access to the "insides" of the devices have nothing to do with the firmware, so no matter what Apple does, we will always have access to the "insides" Please Register or Log in to view images
The thing is writing all of the codes to all of the modifications of those 3rd party apps over again, in the format of the new OS.

If they change the code to the extent that Appstore developers have to rewrite their apps then there will be chaos and rioting... Then again, a move from 2.2.1 to 3.0 must signify a leap of faith of some description... tyhe mind boggles... lets just wait and see
use encrypted f/w like the ipod nano 2g's f/w. that was hell o.0
Right! A iPod Touch 1g (now 2g) and iphone 2g and 3g can you ever jailbreak :b
Exploits in iPod Touch (1G) and in the iPhones are unfixable

Wrong !!! Apps have to be compatible to 3.0. Otherwise it would be ridiculous.
