Im just wondering if Icy is safe for 3.1.2. I read that it can mess up winterboard and sbsettings by replacing something in dpkg system. Anyone advice?

seems like if it wasn't compatible, you wouldn't be able to install it due to a firmware dependency error

i only ever bothered with icy if i was only going to install a theme and i already knew what theme it was. beyond that, cydia is just better anyways.

Icy does still work, but do NOT use it to add themes to winterboard unless you installed winterboard through Icy. Same with MobileSubstrate, if you follow these guidelines you'll be alright

And don't install overly -large- packages with Icy because it will crash... But other then that, it should work just fine for light duty task, but dont install something in Cydia and then remove it with Icy, or vice versa, becasue your iDevice will randomly reboot later, had this happen first hand with my iPhone 2G.
