I have a 2 month old iPod Touch 16GB 2nd Gen that got knocked of the counter and into the toilet. I dried it, and stored it in a bag of rice for several days. It will not power up. I sent it to a repair facility where they opened it, and said the main board has corrosion.
My question is, is my data still on the device? Are my contacts, calendar appointments, and apps all still there? If I sell my device (for parts) is there any way somebody could access that info?

    Thanks for any tips!!

Well if the main board is correded from what I know about computers. IF the mainboard is similar to a motherboard than your Data is as good as it is gone.
