Before the 2.0 release everyone were complaining about the upgrade costing $10. Is it really that much?
Here in Sweden, after translation differences it cost the equivalent of $12, and I still found that very cheap and reasonable.

And mind you, I'm a poor student, so it's not like have money to spend, $12 is much at all.

    Not a lot of money.

It is like buying 3 boxes of gushers. Not that much money.

A lot of people just do not like spending money. End of story. They are usually younger and parents say no to the purchase.

i dont want everyone to start flaming and debating whether or not $10 is a lot for an upgrade but i myself do not have a credit card yet (and wont for the next 2 years) so i have to use my moms. Which believe it or not is a hassle because she doesnt let me take $10 off your credit card whenever i need/want it. So if it were up to me i would pay the $10 fee but i just dont have my own credit card so its not as easy as it sounds.

At the end of the day, when you own a device that costs several hundreds, $10 is not a whole lot.
People just want/expect things in life are free

The way some people see it though is that if they pay hundreds to get the Ipod in the first place, why should they have to pay anything more
