I have tried to restore with DFu (I know how to do it).
I have also tried ih8sn0w, iboot, blackra1n, redsn0w, and i am attempting to use irecovery and rslite but i don't know the commands.
I have tried DFU mode with and without libusb.
I do not know what to try next.

Can you at least explain to us what your ipod shows? Is it just a black screen with the back-light on, black screen with no back-light or what?

By default my iPod goes to the connect to itunes screen.
In DFU mode there is no backlight, its just black, however i know this is DFU because if i run iBoot when i do the unplug thing the screen goes white.
    Also I have tried restoring to 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 3.0, 3.1.2, and 3.1.3
    nothing seems to work.

    may i suggest something?

You might not like my logic, but just try it: Download blackra1n and use its wakeup injection code to see if you can reboot your ipt.

FYI: Also when you are in DFU, you should have a black screen with a bit of back light (if it is completely black, as if your ipt was off, then you are not in DFU)

Also, what about uninstalling/reininstalling the ipt driver via windows device manager. Then restoring the ipt?

Note: I am invisible, but I will lurk around this post for a while trying to provide real-time help. I may appear offline, but I am not.

If all else fails I suggest doing a remote desktop session with someone you trust, and someone who is experienced. Hopefully someone can do it 4 u.

I have uninstalled the apple ipod driver and still no luck.
I have run blackra1n and it remains on the "Waiting for device" screen.

Yes iTunes can recognize the iPod in recovery mode.
However any attempt to restore will freeze part way through.
