Hi I bought the 3.0 update for my ipod touch 2g on my mac, and I am having trouble finding the ipsw file for jailbreaking with redsn0w.

I saw somewhere that you should go to /library/itunes/ and then find it from there but all I have is the itunes plugins folder

    Thanks for any help

    Code:
    ~username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/
    Or

    Code:
    Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iTunes/iPod Firmware
Maybe the folder is hidden? Idk how macs work, try typing it in the address bar (if there is one in a mac? idrk).

The codes above were for MAC, not Windows.

    Check this for Windows:
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR-USER-NAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\
Or press START + R and type this in then hit OK:
    Code:
    %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates\
