.ipsw file Macintosh

    I am trying to use redsnow to jailbreak my ipod 2g on my mac, but I cannot find my .ipsw file and I did a spotlight search and everything. Where the heck is it? I payed for 3.0 and everything.

    Just fyi I have looked in User/Library/iTunes and it is nowhere to be found

    And I don't think you read my post before answering my thread. I already checked there and the folder doesn't exist.

    Use spotlight.
    search ".ipsw" Then hit show all.
    Then drag to desktop or notable place.

    Then, as much sense as this makes, it is not on your computer.

    Although he had an iPhone, I found a guy with the same problem as you. He found his firmware in the folder i mentioned above, even though it was not shown in spotlight. If that folder does not exist, then I would suggest redownloading your firmware.
