OK guys, I'm starting to get frustrated here. I've searched all over this site and nothing..

I'm trying ipodgamez's tutorial to jailbreak firmware 2.0 and I can't get past making my own ipsw. I ALWAYS get the message saying "Failed to create custom IPSW!" The script in winpwn says

    8/24/2008 12:31:37 AM - Preparing ipsw file.
    8/24/2008 12:31:37 AM - Starting IPSW building
    8/24/2008 12:31:43 AM - Preferred root size is:500

8/24/2008 12:31:47 AM - Adding custom Recovery Image
    8/24/2008 12:32:13 AM - IPSW creation failed!

I've tried a few things: I've increased my available memory, i've tried having some boxes unchecked and not using custom images. But it will not work.

I have a jailbroken 8gb iPod Touch running 1.1.3. I have 64-bit Vista and 4gb of RAM. And i have winpwn 2.0.0.4 Someone help

Is your firmware legit and real? That may be a deciding factor.

How would this make a difference?
They both have the same hashes and it's clearly recognized as a usable firmware.
Go take your anti-piracy rants somewhere else.

OP: It looks like it fails because of custom images.
My advice would be to avoid WinPwn altogether; download QuickPwn.
If you don't know how to use it or what it is, read about it here.
