Yeah, I hope Apple does. I mean, with the 3GS, they did bring it up to speed (literally), so that's nice. But I really hope Apple goes above and beyond with this next iPod touch. The 2G was really more of an evelutionary change (I think) to the 1st gen ipod. So I am hoping that there will be a lot more to look forward to on the 3rd generation, since my 1st gen is getting on in age (typing on it sucks, the keyboard is very laggy) and I want some new features. And my name suggests a camera would be good...
Yeah, the worst part about this year, though is Apple released the iPhone earlier than usual. That means even more of a wait until we start seeing 'leaks' and guesses at what the new iPod's will be.
Sorry to burst the bubble, but this was found in March... http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/19/iphone-os-3-0-firmware-unearths-new-iphones-and-new-ipod-touches/
I think they will either: a) Keep the "same sleek design" OR b) Realize that they made the "mistake" (in some people's eyes) to keep the same design, and try to make the iPod Touch look different. In my opinion the looks that they decided to stick with are the trademark iPhone/iPod Touch looks. Like when someone says iPod touch, or iPhone, I automatically bring those images to mind, it wouldn't be the same if they were to change it drastically. My thread states that the wireless chip in the touch will support 802.11n, not that there will be new touches.
Ummm, what is that supposed to prove? I just read it (and I remember seeing it before). Did I miss something? But anyways, that just seems to prove more of what we were saying,,,
I did yes, and photoshop could be a big sell point for some companies. Trying to get as much as they can from rumours of a new touch. that doean't necessarily prove anything I mean who knows, but it is not likely to be real.
No, I don't see a huge redesign in the works. Actually, I just see more features. Camera, maybe. Mic, hopefull, but doubtful. Faster proccesor and more RAM, yes.
