iPod1,1_2.0.2_5C1_Restore.ipsw. Is it jailbreakable on 1G touch using winpwn 2.0.0.4?
I only see reference to 2.0.1 version.

Sorta got carried away and deleted the app directory when playing around with Cydia on a perfectly setup 1.1.4 iLiberty jailbreak working since last May.
Luckily, after upgrade to 7.7.1 and above touch firmware all configuration settings, contacts, notes, webclips, etc. were intact. May stick to non jailbreak from now, just wondered if the usual apps were still available on Cydia and if most have bailed and gone the web apps itunes route.

Anything I should be aware of with this newest jailbreak?

thanks and sorry for the rambling

Yeah or you could just download quickpwn and do it that way.

    I removed the link.

Upgrade to 2.1 rather than 2.0.2, it is way more stable and supports more App Store applications.

okay, I thought that 2.1 was only for 2G
and I thought that quickpwn was for mac and winpwn was for windows

I'm looking at Gitykins thread to see how to go about this

    thanks

    thanks for the links, Andy.

Maybe I should have gone to 2.1 instead since though everything is sort of okay I can't get mail to work properly ; checking mail wheel spins with no result ( tried fetch on/off, localization on/off, right port address, etc.) and entering text into, for instance, a search box here on IPTF when I hit a letter on the keyboard the entry box disappears from the page. Safari also crashes occasionally. I also made the mistake of loading only Cydia when JB ing with quickpwn so I don't know if the tweaks or fixes I need are available only on Installer or not or whether I can add Installer after the fact to Cydia.
The battery life is pretty miserable too, especially since I used it for a day or so without JB when I upgraded to 2.0.2 and forgot how processor intensive some of these JB tools are. Some are better than others, sure. But, there's alot to be said for a clean touch in terms of battery life.
I didn't go to 2.1 in the beginning because you have to upgrade to Itunes 8 and can't downgrade touch firmware after that. Correct?
The upside, Cydia seems to work great, I get the app store apps and most of what was available app wise on 1.1.4 is still available.

    thanks
