iPOD WORKS BUT THE BACK LIGHT WILL COME ON FOR A SECOND THEN SHUT OFF...

    I have tried everything i can think of and nothing seems to work...if i shine it in the light i can see the screen but there is no backlight please someone help me...its all i got left...

    Send it in to Apple. Assuming you still have a warranty.

    I did but they said it was water damaged..but wouldnt it not work at all if it was?

    i never recall getting any water near it...i looked at the censor before i sent it in and there was no red line but when i got it back...there was red line...

    I dunno what to tell you then. Water damage is a messy thing.
    You can take it to the apple store and try to argue them about it.

    Could i possibly like give it to them to fix and pay them for it? or they wont do that?

    They would probably fix it if you payed them, but it would be almost half the price of the iPod itself.

    Exactly.
    Or they would make you pay half for another iPod but a refurb.
    That actually might be your best option.
