ipod wont work inside campus

    M jailbroken ipod doesnt work inside the college campus, does anyone else have this problem?

    yeah someone mentioned that they couldn't but it was like 4 months or more ago.

    Try changing the DNS or restarting your iPod.

    What college do you go to? Does your college used Cisco Clean Access or something simular?

    I go to UPenn,I'm not sure about what they use.

    also, what do you mean by restarting ipod?
    turning off and then back on? I've tried that. I've also tried clearing the cache.

    i have the same issue... it is only for internet using apps... they start up, try to connect, then go back to the home screen

    ANNOYINg... must check facebook!

    i don't know. we use a proxy, but i can connect through safari and the standard apps, but not 3rd party apps... its like ipod wont let the apps use the internet it uses.... AH!

    And it's not because my iPod is jailbroken that this doesn't work. Somebody told me it's cuz apple has agreement with my university and does not allow jailbroken ipods to surf the net.
    But I just restored it to my previous state and it still doesn't work. It gives message;
    Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server.

    oh, see, my problem is different... i think you may not have your proxy settings correct with the proxy and ports and all that crap... mine is set correctly, and i can surf the "interweb" {lol} but i can't connect with third party apps... everything apple connects... just not 3rd party junk...

    sorry i forgot something...

    it worked befor the 2.0.2 upgrade... but after that, all the apps, as well as cydia stopped conecting... bummer
