Ok, so the other night I was listening to music and the ipod battery died out.
I plugged it in to charge, 20 minutes later I attempted to turn it on but but it got to the apple logo and then just shut back off. Does anyone know whats going on?

Just restore it. It happened to me once. I powered on the iPod touch and it shut off. Then I powered it on and it got to the boot screen and shut off. I then restored it and now it works.

    You need to do this:

    Plug it into your comp.
Hold down the home and power buttons for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, release the power button but continue holding the home button.
Keep holding the home button until you hear a beep on your computer.

Open iTunes, and a dialog box should come up stating its found an iPod in recovery mode.
Close out of it, and press the Restore button.

    Glad to hear it.

DFU Mode never fails, and thats what I like about Apple Devices.
