I did the whole jail break process now my iPod wont turn on. What can i do to fix this problem???
Put it in DFU mode and restore with iTunes...
Download the programm "Voltage" and follow the instructions.
It is the only way to reboot a ipod when he shut down.
Have you run iBoot to get it to boot up?
i did it thru voltage and when i used the boot file i said it couldnt recognize the ipod or its not bootable
Use cywood GUI it's the best look up willdta on YouTube he has everything.
do you have libusb installed? Are you sure you're in dfu mode
I have libusb installed and when i put it into dfu mode i get a pop up saying device cant be recognized i tunes doesnt even pop up or anything its like my ipod doesnt power on or anything because nothing comes up on the screen
Hold the power button.. Duhhhhhhh!
Serious: Were you trying Untethered? yeah?
When you're in DFU mode, the screen stays black. Nothing will show up, no logo, nothing else. The "Unrecognized device" isn't a bad thing, since it means that your computer is at least recognizing that something has been plugged in. I'm not sure about iTunes not popping up, but try opening iTunes manually and seeing if you can restore it from there.
Also, you should be using Quickfreedom, unless you actually want to stay tethered. Maybe you do, but untethered>>>>>>>>>>>tethered. Unless I've misread anyways.
