    Hello,

I'm new here so please go easy on me...I'm a little hesitant to ask this in this forum based on what I've been reading...anyway, I have a new 8GB ipod (not jailbroken), that does not power on correctly after I charge it. If I am using the ipod, and it drains completely, I plug it in overnight to let it charge. When I go to turn it on, it does not come on by pressing the power button, I have to hold both the home and power buttons in for at least 30 seconds for it to come on. Logic tells me that to turn it back on I would just have to press the power button, is this normal?

Thanks for the replies...I've already tried restoring...will the Apple store help me even if I didn't buy it from there? I bought it online in December

HOLD the power button instead of PRESSING it....It normally comes on after you HOLD it for a couple of seconds
