    Hey,

So I go to downgrade my iPod which involves putting it into DFU mode and I hold down the power button (I'm on an iPod Touch 2G MB Model by the way) and then I 'slide to power off' and my iPod goes black (as it should) then suddenly the Lock Screen pops up! I tried doing this with and without my iPod plugged into a power source and it happened no matter what.

I'm kinda screwed because I need to downgrade from 4.1 to 4.0 so I can jailbreak.

    Thanks in advance,

Just plug it in hold the power and home button til you here the disconnect sound. release the power and keep holding the home button. You dont have to shut it off to put it in DFU.

Else since you are downgrading and restoring anyway just re restore to 4.1 first

Dam, restore didn't work. Looks like I've got to spend a few weeks trying to get into DFU mode (I have horrible timing)
