Okay well when I press the power button it goes to the lock screen but I can't unlock it and when I hold down the power button for ten seconds it doesn't turn off. How can I turn it off? Without restoring?

hard reset: hold home and the hold button until it shuts off, or if you have SB settings just reboot

    try connecting to itunes,
try holding power AND home button for ten seconds,
if those two solutions dont work hold power and home button for ten seconds, then release power button and hold home button for about 8more seconds (if this doesnt work you have SERIOUS problems...) you'll have to reinstall your ipod after that method

Either Hard Reset, Restore, Or Wait for the battery to go dead!
