Well, have had many problems over the last few days, songs not playing, so uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. Tried to restore ipod, but it would not do it and got stuck in connect to itunes screen. Sorted that out eventually, and ipod started to sync. It reinstalled my apps back onto the ipod, and start doing the songs. After 100+ songs itunes froze. Powered down computer, started up and started sync on itunes again. Same thing, loaded some songs and froze. Gave up angry

Came back to it tonight and opened itunes. started to sync with ipod as follows:
    1. syncing ipod
    2. backing up ipod
    3. syncing ipod
    4. updating files on ipod
    5. copy _ _ of _ _ (my songs)
It loaded 202 songs and itunes froze
Powered down computer and started again. This time loaded 16 songs.
(i must add at this point that there are no songs on the ipod at all!!!)
    Powered down and started again.
This time loaded 8 songs and stopped on 8. Then this message came up:

    1. Attempting to copy to the disk ipod failed. The device timed out.
Pressed ok and got this message:

The ipod cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to.

Pressed ok and tried again, but just keep getting this message now

Are You jailbroken? Or have you jailbroken before? if so, i think theat oculd first off be your downfall. You can Seriously break your ipod if you jailbreak incorrectly.

But, If you didn't jailbreak then try this

-Sync with another computer (with iTunes) like your friend's or neighbor's or cousin's, etc.
If you successfully synced it with your friends library, then come back to your iTunes library and sync it with your content ( musci, videos, apps etc. )

    happy Fixing!
