ok so I have noticed this recently. I have a 1.1.4 jailbroken 16gb ipod touch and sometime when I hit the sleep button the ipod will turn off but I can still see the background and the slider and then I turn it on and i will open something and it wont let me do anything once I open it. but on the main screen everything works. Sometimes I can reboot it and it will be fine but it has been happening alot more lately and I am going on a 3hr trip in an hour so if someone could help without me having to restore that would be great

This has happened to a few people, including myself. I remember fixing it by simply respringing, however that did not do it for others.

try typing in this command and see what happens.

    Code:
    /bin/chmod -R 755 /Applications/*

When this happens to me I just re-spring and its fine after that. Or reset your ipod, but sometimes that doesn't even work.
