All the trouble started when i noticed that my songs just randomly dissappeard. So i went to the computer and was going to put all the songs i already had on my ipod back on to my ipod.
But my ipod wouldnt connect to itunes, and i tried everything to try to get it to connect but no dice.

After that i tried to force it into recovery mode but it still wouldnt connect to itunes. so i held the sleep button and it went back to the way my ipod normally was with all of my apps and junk, but no music. And i went to settings and tried to delete everything but they wouldn't delete!!!!! I've tried doing this like 5 times, so if anyone has any suggestions or ideas please please please please please please please please please please please tell me!

    1. calm down
    2. restart your computer
    3. plug it in

    -if that doesnt work-

    1. put it in recovery mode
    2. plug into diff usb port

    -if that doesn't work-

    1. repeat steps above on a different pc/mac
    2. if you get connected restore and try on your pc/mac

    -if that doesn't work-

    1. repeat all above steps using a dew/different ipod usb cable

    -if that doesn't work-

    1. take your ipod in for repair/trade it in for a new one

    think i covered everything

    That's not possible...

You didn't go into recovery mode... Once in it you cannot just press the sleep/wake button and it magically returns back to normal. You would have to be able to upload a new firmware or restore from that point in order to go back.

So either you have a magical iPod or your not telling us something.

dude.... the same thing happened to all of my media... so i had to restore but i didnt have any problem my first guess is to restart your ipod and computer then reconnect to itunes then try force restoring again or... try restoring on another computer with itunes
