Ipod wont restore

    Whenever i try to restore my ipod it says that it cannot connect to the update server

    Thats not what you do.

    When you restore, hold SHIFT(for windows) ALT(for Mac) and select your 1.1.3 firmware.

    i tried that already it says an error occured after the software is done being extracted please help me

    NOne of u are listening im in recovery mode but my ipod wont update in any way so im stuck in recovery

    I thought for Mac you were supposed to hold option? Hmm, oh well I guess.

    Use dfu mode:

    Boot your phone in DFU mode: while the phone is connected to iTunes, hold down power + home for EXACTLY 10 seconds. Then release power, and keep the home button pressed for another 10 seconds. Your phone will be appear to be off, but iTunes will detect it in recovery mode.

    (ignore the fact that it says phone)
