iPod won''t play OGG Vorbis....

    My lil brothers iPod Touch 3G wont play OGG Vorbis, and he wants me to downgrade him to 3.1.2, but even if i do jailbreak him on 3.1.2 will the iPod play OGG? We need to know cause i have over 300 songs on my linux box that were converterd over to OGG for VLC.

    OGG Vorbis is not supported on the IPT. Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV.

    How does the old VLC package for iphone play it then? Wouldn't it be same on IPT?

    vlc for iphone works rather baaad and is a pain to use - but well you're right it might play the OGG format...
    I'm not quite sure because on my device (iphone 3G) it laaaggs so I don't use it as much

    nevertheless the built-in ipod won'tplay ogg
