i dont know why anyone else says try this kind of way to force it into restore mode ..

because its by far the easiest one ..

all you need to do is turn your ipod all the way off .
then while its off hold down the home button and while ur holding it plug your ipod into the computer and it will go into restore mode .

its pretty easy(make sure u are not plugged into usb yet, but have it ready)
1>Hold Lock/Sleep Button and Home till the screen Turns off
2>Now plug it into your computer, when the apple pops up hold Home
3> You should get the plug into iTunes screen

my ipod got messed up so many times today and i had to force it into restore mode so many times.... what i did was turn it all the way off... then i held the off and home buttons until the apple logo showed up... immediatly, let go of the off button but still hold the home button... just keep holding it.... it will work just takes maybe 30 seconds.....

its so hard to get bricked pretty much the only way is doing so major file editing or unpluging your ipod during some ibrickr process or something similar
