Its less than 10% battery so whatever i do now i crucial.

Well. You know that sound the computer makes whenever a USB device is plugged in? I only hear the FIRST note of it (three times in a row fast). But the usual "unplug" sound is still there. And no, it won't charge nor is it detected by itunes, much less windows (xp). Help?

With my Windows XP, I pull the connector out of the ipod a little and it recognizes it and charges. But with my Windows Vista, I have no problem. Or you can try another USB port, like in the back of the PC

    Do this: windows-r
    services.msc

Look for apple mobile device (I'm not sure what it's full name is, seeing as I'm on my iPod

Anyway, once u find it, change it's startup type to Automatic, and start the service.
