Ipod won't boot, i've already tried basic fixes

    I did have it jailbroken, but then did the erase all data function

    I had to leave so I didn't see it complete the data erasing, but I'm sure it had enough battery power to complete the job

    Now when i turn it on it show theapple boot logo indefinitely.
    sometimes it will show the "spinning wheel of death"

    It won't go past the boot logo though. I've tried putting it into dfu mode and it still only shows the apple boot logo.

    Any ideas short of taking it in to a apple store?

    You obviously didn't put it into DFU mode correctly.

    DFU + Restore to default 2.2.1 + ReJailbreak = Problem Solved

    This is the ultimate problem solver...just DFU, ReJB and voila...fixed
