So i tried to jailbreak my ipod with 2.2.1 firmware but after i went through the DFU mode, it came up with a cartoon of Steve Jobs and now it wont even turn on past that. I really need some help, I'm in over my head and just want to fix this

Thats just your iPod in recovery mode. You should be able to restore out of it, if you can't search around here, I'm sure there's a thread somewhere with how to get out of a stuck recovery mode.
