I am going to use a program like n ipod ripper to get all my music and hopefully movies but what about my apps like SMB that i bought? will i have to reinstall them or when i plug into the new itunes will they all transfer?. thank you

Couldn't you authorize your computer and say transfer under your ipod if they are all in your ipod?

You can backup your iTunes library with Aniosoft iTunes Backup and put it into your USB flash drive or portable hard drive.
    More details, please visit blog.aniosoft.com

    Hope this helps!
