I have a SERIOUS problem! My iPod will not charge when I connect it to my computer, Windows doesn't detect it, and iTunes doesn't detect it, so it can't sync either! I can't take my iPod to Apple because it's jailbroken, and I can't restore it! Someone please help!!!!

Look inside the connector slot on the bottom of the ipod. If it's messed up, it wont respond to the cable. On my old ipod, something had bent on the inside, so it wouldnt charge or sync. If you see this try bending the bent part back.

If you give it a good restore then apple shouldn't be able to recognise that it was jailbroken

..... just hold the home button as you plug it into the computer.. then restore if you want.

But there has to be a connection between the computer and the iPod for that, there is none in my situation. The cable is linking them, but there's no electrical connection.
