I recently purchased a ipod touch 4G from ebay.
I was checking out the serial number at apple.com and it said register first.
So i was thinking if i register my warranty late will the warranty also start late. I can block itunes from connecting to internet.
    Thank you.

Warranty starts from when you buy not when you register.

The transaction might not have gone through until October 22, 2010. It goes by the date the transaction went through. If the transaction never goes through, Apple won't know the iPod got sold and the warranty won't start.

may i ask why it matters?
you are going to have to register it sometime, might as well register it when you get it.
you really wont need the warranty anyways.
just to get 1 replacement probably, since the 4G comes with tons of problems, but thats about it.

i went 2 years with only 1 time replacement with my 2G
