I recently bought a pair of 2XL in-ear headphones for use with my iPod touch. The purpose I bought them for--to limit outside noise while listening to music and such--is filled. However, another one started: even with the slider in Settings -> Volume Limit at zero, the music is still too loud to listen to comfortably. If I turn the regular slider any lower, it's muted! What can I do to lower the minimum volume?

get a short extension cable with an in-line volume control between the iPod touch and your headphones.

I think I had the same problem a couple times, just restart you ipod, that should fix it.
