    Hi all

I got an Ipod Touch 2gen 16gb for Christmas

And when I touch the ipod when its connected to the Computer (charging)
It, around 60% chance will zapp me... somtimes quit strong as well. It also only happens if my feet are of the ground.

    Is this normal?

Is it damaging my Ipod in any way? (Screen or battery life?)

    Thanks

    Ps. Great forum

Well, so much for being an iPod touch.

It must not like his/her name.

    That's defiantly not good.
I strongly suggest you take it to Apple.
It may damage the iPod and potentially hurt you.

Exchange it. My friends Dell laptop does that when the AC adaptor is plugged in.

Haha I reckon I'm afraid to touch it somtimes...

Though it only happens if I'm not grounded... Still if its not normal I might have to return it for a new one

well its a given that electricity wont pass through you if your feet aren't on the ground. like with electric fences and whatnot.

So whats the best way to return one?

Send it to Apple direct- then get them to send me a replacment?
    or
Go to the place i brought it from and see if they will give me a new one?

go to the place you bought it.
if you send it in they can run diagnostics and stuff on it so in-store is safer for you. well if youve jailbroken anyways. Oh and its quicker
